Agood purchase, apity about the lack of cover the battery connections

A good purchase, unfortunately they were supplied without plastic covers over the connections on the batteries.

When I read a review that said these could catch light, I immediately returned and spent twice as much on Makita originals. Cheap is not always good, and the risk of fire is very unwelcome.

A bargain with this really fast charger

This is an excellent charger. Much faster than the standard one. Getting two genuine batteries at a reasonable price is even more of a bargain with this charger included in the deal. It fits perfectly in the Makita case for my reciprocating saw but not sure what other cases/inserts will accommodate it. Most cases have spaces for batteries but you may need an additional box or bag for the charger.The potential downside is that it doesn't fully charge the battery. The latest 'wisdom' is that battery life is improved if batteries don't get fully charged or fully discharged so this unit would support that strategy. Alternatively, you can top up the battery with the standard charger - it would still be much faster than using the standard charger alone.

Works well and hold a good amount of charge

Batteries do what they are supposed to and hold their charge for a good amount of work time. Easy to fit to equipment and stays secure.Note: Be careful when charging, the charger gets very hot, almost burning to the touch, I would consider the surface place the charger on and never leave it unattended. I almost gave it 4 stars for this, but the instructions do warn you about this so left it at 5.

Makita charger with batteries

Had to purchase the original Makita in the end as the look alike one didn’t last very long. Happy with purchase and reasonably priced
